PR3 with only 2 backlinks, how is this possible?

    i have pr 4 5 6 domain names with no backlinks and no websites, just the domains are hooked up decent.. pr system is strange,

    xc06, thats true? one google backlink could generate you a pr 9?

    Just try to get more traffic as you can.

    Few months back, I had one site with 20K backlinks and a PR1. On the other hand, in the same time, I had one other site with about 200 links from pages that have no more than PR0 and that site was PR2.

    Not sure what factors, other than backlinks are considered in PR calculation.

    I have one site, 4 month old with 1 page of html. [ nothing in there actually ]
    got Pr2 from 1 month old.. check fared[dot]org

    it is always so. first you receive a higher pr what you never imagine but then it goes down if you don´t do anytging to keep it up.

    I seem to remember I got a PR3 with no backlinks on a site I had once. All I had was a link to Google on my site at the bottom.

    Ok, the possible thing is the domain got a history of PR long ago, after deleted, someone bought it and he consequently got a PR - for free
