    Hi all,

    I am selling a PR3 Satellite TV On PC site - http://www.watchskyonyourpc.net

This is a highly lucrative market in the UK and Europe (and indeed worldwide, now that David Beckham has joined the LA Galaxy)

The site sells a complete PDF guide to accessing the best in satellite television broadcasts online...focusing especially on the UK soccer hungry mass market, but includes access to films, cartoons, documentaries, adult tv and more.

    Am I BS'ing?

Well, in a previous sale of this exact same template (except it was PR 0), a fellow Digital Point member made $75 in his first day...

    ...and here is his testimonial:

(...Some background for the non-UK/EU viewers here...in the UK, football (soccer), the national sport, is prohibitively expensive to watch. It is possible to watch some league games, but rarely live. The lack of live matches has created a huge demand for football over IP - or FoIP as I like to call it lol :) )

However, these matches are syndicated to foreign channels, a fact that isn't publicised to regular viewers.

The site I'm selling brings the sought-after content to a very hungry market.

The previous buyer recognised the market potential, and acted. You can easily do the same. There is plenty of space left to cash in.

The site has custom header/navigational graphics (I can verify this - I made them!), and sells a guide demonstrating how to watch virtually any Live Sporting Event, Current Film, TV Show, Documentary etc etc.

The guide, which sells for UK £7.95 (approx $15) is completely unbranded, and will carry over full ownership rights to the buyer.

You will NOT be selling 3rd party software, and there are no copyright issues.

The potential is there to reach a huge targetted and hungry audience with very little effort.

Included is the license transfer of a highly secure digital delivery script I purchased (a $40 value), which prevents unscrupulous access to the paid-for content. It's actually a very nifty piece of code - you can learn more, and demo it here - I'm not an affiliate of this script BTW.

Also included is free hosting, or I can personally set the site up on your hosting account if you're already sorted.

Either way, I'll send you all the site files zipped up.

    To recap:

This is a Google PR3 site, in a DP proven huge money making niche, with free hosting/setup.

and it's going for a song...

Thanks for the bids, Zagul and Totality :)

    Much appreciated.

For everyone's information, 10% of the proceeds from this sale will be donated to 'Help Find Madeleine', the missing 4 year old who was snatched from her parent's holiday apartment in Portugal several weeks ago.

    Thanks again,
    Steve

Also, I forgot to ask. Do you pay a fee or earn a commission on the sign-ups?

Thanks for the questions, alherd :)

It very much looks like the owner of the site you mention is 'giving' access away by asking people to click on the Adsense ads, which is clearly not the brightest business strategy I've ever seen!!!

So I'm willing to bet Vicki's site won't be around for too much longer! :D

Also, there's no fee or commission involved. You sell a pdf guide which explains how to (legally) access premium tv content. You keep 100% of whatever you choose to sell the guide for. This isn't an affiliate scheme or anything like that.

Don't hesitate to ask any other questions, and thanks again!

    Cheers,
    Steve

    Sounds interesting.

Is the method for them to use completely free? Is it legal in UK/EU/USA? What percentage refund request do you get? Will you share/teach your advertising methods?

Hi Scilynt - Good questions, thanks for asking :)

    I'll answer one by one!

Absolutely! Here's exactly how it works. I'll use soccer as an example.

UK soccer TV deals are worth billions of pounds per year, and the major broadcasters (BBC, Sky, Setanta etc) pay heavily to control how and where games can be watched in the UK.

For instance, Live Premier League football is currently licensed solely to Sky TV in the UK, and even then they are only allowed to air live matches at certain times. Because of this, there is a far greater demand than supply for live football in the UK.

What many people don't realise is, the football leagues don't just licence these matches to the UK, they also licence to foreign broadcasters (such is the international demand for English football)

Many of these international broadcasters stream live soccer matches online.

The product that my site sells pulls together a list of online broadcasters who stream these matches live. These aren't 'secret' sites by any means, but they won't necessarily be familiar to the casual punter.

Of course, the example used for soccer is also true for the other content mentioned on the site.

So yes, completely free. It's a list of legitimate online content providers. No subscriptions, no ongoing charges. Just a list!

Of course, these are mostly major international broadcasting websites! This isn't some guy in a football stadium with a webcam and an internet connection :)

These are legitimate, licenced streams. Of course, they are not necessarily well advertised here in the UK, because naturally the UK broadcasters are keen to protect their investment.

Well, pretty low. The product is very inexpensive, it is delivered instantly, and gives the customer what he expects. There are of course, the rare occassions where a customer will request a refund because he wants something for nothing, but thankfully that kind of person is the exception rather than the rule.

Adwords, Adwords, Adwords! Of course, I'll let the winner have the keywords that I have used to promote TV on PC sites.

I hope that answers your questions satisfactorily, Scilynt, and thanks again for asking :)

    All the best,
    Steve

    Hi Totality,

I'm thinking that I'll reserve the right not to sell this site for less than $200.

    Thanks,

Hi, cashwealth & Jake21 - Thanks for your questions :) Sorry I haven't replied sooner. A combination of timezone differences & work commitments!

In answer, traffic & revenue minimal, as this particular site is fairly new. I bought the PR3 domain name last week, and applied my template to it.

This template is identical to the one demonstrated by the DP member who managed 4 or 5 sales on his first day after buying my site.

Traffic & revenue is currently being generated through a small scale Adwords campaign during the last couple of days.

However, on the Adwords campaign I've set up during the last 2 days (daily budget £5) I've had 3 sales. So, that's £23.85 in sales for £9.26 Adwords spend - Profit = £14.59 (approx $28) :) (see attached sales and adwords reports)

On previous experience, and anecdotal evidence, this seems to be normal for this niche, i.e. a 2-3 to 1 return on Adwords investment.

Remember, this kind of return was also demonstrated by the buyer of my previous TV on PC site, who managed 4 or 5 sales on his first day.

If you can get organic traffic to the site, or drive traffic by linking from existing sites you own, obviously you can rely less on Adwords, and your profits go up.

Attached is both the sales report & adwords summary for the last 2 days.

Kind Regards and I hope this helps,
    Steve

    Hi all,

Thanks for your bids, and for looking at this auction.

www.watchskyonyourpc.net has been sold via a private bid.

The new owner of this site paid immediately, and is a credit to DP :)

    Transfer of ownership is underway.

    Thanks again,
    Steve
