    Hi there everyone,

As much as it pains me, I think it might be time to let this site go. I've got a lot of sweat and tears put into it. It has the potential to be a great thing, and I feel like the foundation is already built.

    http://www.howyoucanvolunteer.org

Site's History: A DP member put it up shortly after Hurricane Katrina as a directory of places to go to get help for refugees. No advertising, no spam, just quality content.

Then about 4 months ago I purchased it very inexpensively. I took down the old site which was about 3 pages of static content. I then built the current site around a very popular and very powerful CMS system (Drupal). I hired someone to create that logo at the top, then I hired someone to enter 1,000+ volunteer organizations into the database. I built a custom entry form for the system that collects the information about the organizations and displays them as you see.

I had grand plans to build navigation to make it easier to find the organizations but just never got around to it. I'd be happy to consult on how I was planning on doing this or do it for you for a small donation to the cause.

None the less, Google loves this site, gave it a PR3 and has indexed every page on the thing. 1,900+ pages are in Google. The site has some SE rankings, nothing exciting, but with that many content pages and a PR3, it's bound to happen.

Revenue: Very low, this site shouldn't be whored out for pennies in my opinion, but it's a nice bonus when you do get a click. It's made maybe $10 since January or so.

    Traffic:
    April: 54 Uniques
    March: 368 Uniques
    February: 598 Uniques
(Has Google Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics installed)

The Site: http://www.howyoucanvolunteer.org - A community driven site to promote volunteerism in the world. Has open blogs for members, forums for volunteer and social opportunities, and a warm fuzzy feeling inside when you work on it.

The design is there, the CMS is there, the Basic Traffic is there... just need someone who can take this project on and build it up! I'll stay on as a consultant for as long as you want and I'll train you in Drupal (the world's easiest CMS to use, and yet it's secure, powerful, etc)

Let the Bidding start at $1 in $5 increments. I reserve the right not to sell if the price does not meet the minimums in my head. Once bidding gets going I'll announce a Reserve and a BIN.

I'm willing to offer hosting for only $1 a month.

$5 increments please on the bidding.

You'll also get the .com version of this domain with the sale. I'll provide hosting free for one month to allow you to move it, or the $1 a month plan will be fine to. It's on a secured VPS right now.

When are you planning on ending it?
An d how do you access the database or is it just searchable through Drupal?

    Thanks

I'll end within 48 hours assuming the bids are high enough to make me happy with the sale.

The database is already there, you can just page through the entries right now, and it is searchable as well. If I had the time I'd build a geographical hierarchy to navigate the content.

Reserve, at least $200 I'd say. BIN, don't really have a number in mind.
