I have a Hosting and Web Templates selling website. The website runs as a store and the index page doesn't seem to search engine friendly.
I have my meta tags setup right. The problem seems to be lack of content, and the fact I have no-where to write any content.
My question is, would I be better to build (or have one built for me) another index page ( Welcome or Enter page) that could be more search engine friendly. I'm really not sure.
If anyone can have a look and tell me, that would be great.
My website is www.myihost.com and I do have it at PR3.
I am very inexperienced at all this so any help would be appreciated.

i have an ecommerce store once. you need an index page with text even if you have a small paragraph where your copy write is. I actually had more sucess when i had a html "landing" then it would move to store.sitename.com and the sitename.com had reviews and stuff on it... never sold much but still worked.

don't confuse Page Rank with good SERPS. I had a couple of great PR sites with lousy SERPS but that was just inefficiency at our end initially.
