I'm happy with the progress on my blog at blog.waxmarketing.com but would like to add subscribers, increase readers and PR of course. Would you take a look and give me your expert opinions on changes I can/should make to help improve stats? Thanks so much!
First of all, if your looking to add email subscribers, you should make it obvious. Put a form on the website telling people how they can sign up for more updates, your newsletter, free product (bait). For increasing readers and PR (not sure what methods you are already using) you can go to related forums, groups and Q&A sites such as Yahoo Answers and add to the community - answering questions and providing useful information (use a signature file if possible with a link to your blog) this will build more links to your blog and help increase you pr as well as show you as an authority on your topic. Thanks Mike, that is helpful. I had been posting in some forums, but being more proactive about answering questions as an 'authority' is something I should bump up. Yahoo Answers, if there are any other good communities that you suggest let me know. Also, I've been snooping around in your site, lots of good stuff there too!
I've just added a new post to my blog that lists about 15 Q & A sites. Also another way you can use questions to boost your authority is by making quick videos answering them and them submit your videos to multiple video sharing sites such as YouTube. You can use Traffic Geyser to automate this process and get you a ton of links for each video you submit. Or you can go with a free version that automates some things (better than doing it yourself) is TubeMogul. (The link to my blog in my signature)
