PR2 with no backlinks?

I'm rather confused as to how I managed to get PR2. Google does not seem to be cataloguing any of my inbound links (link:theultimatecouponsite.info returns no results).

Yet google has given it PR2. How is this possible?

I've been wondering almost the same thing.. i've a website, returns very few inbound links.. but it is PR3.

Of the few inbound links, some are from PR8-PR5 websites..maybe that's making the difference

Yes I would say that makes all the difference!

I have a website with just an image an address and "coming soon" on it - and that is already PR2.

I think Google just makes it up, I wouldn't read too much into it.

Google no longer shows you all of the links which are linking to a specific site via the 'link' search. So whilst the search shows no results they will be counting some of your inbound links.

PR is not some thing which we can make any change. Its been set by Google and most of the time I am not sure what they look for
