I transfere the domain through NameCheap and if it asks me for any price I'll pay it. I gurantee that the domain at the NameCheap will be transfered to the new owner and NameCheap will change the owners name to the new one.. I reserve the right to withdraw the deal if any company asks stupid price.

The highest bid so far $18.01

    Dear DP members

I'm afraid I'll have to cancel this auction. Don't get angry at me.

The problem is that one of the members here - grandad - mentioned that their might be some charges for the transaction of the site. Since I didn't know anything about it and it might have been problem in the future I decided to cancel this auction. In the mean time one of the members suggested that I transfer the domain to him to see if there would be any problem or not.

Thanks you for your offers and sorry for wasting your time.

If I may, I'd like to know what the charges are, if any.

    Thank you!

Thanks but I am in the middle of transfering the site to another member. I still don't know what is going to happen.

"...there is no charge to push a domain..."

    http://namecheap.simplekb.com/kb.aspx?show=article&articleid=35&categoryid=0

So ok, with Namecheap, let's see about Nominet...

    10GBP: "Transfer
If you no longer require your domain name, you may wish to transfer it to another party.

Nominet charges £10 plus VAT to make a transfer. This fee is set on a cost recovery basis and is reviewed every six months. Following the most recent review it has been reduced from £30 plus VAT. As Nominet charges to cover the service provided, once investigation has commenced, no refunds are available if the transfer does not take place."

I recon if this content is unique then the site is worth around 50 - 100$.

If its not it could be worth 25$ :)

Hi Mahmood, it was not my intention to disrupt the auction, I am interested in the site myself, but being aware of the Nominet requirements for Registrant Transfer on .uk domains it does have an affect on the true ownership of the domain in the long-term - hence my questioning the transfer and owership arrangements, these are valid questions in relation to the sale.

If you registered the domain from new then you are the legal registrant and you can transfer that to a new owner (subject to Nominet charge and procedure).
However if you were not the original registrant and you did not go through the Nominet transfer procedure when the domain was 'pushed' to you then you cannot transfer the legal Registrant status to someone else.

If you are testing a Registrar Transfer to another member you should check the whois at www.nic.uk to see what happens to the Registrant data as it is only here that an accurate record of the true ownership can be found.
