    I only checked your edu links, but they were all "nofollow" which means worthless for passing PR.

    Forget about PR - rankings are all that matters.

    As per my knowledge I think you should be worried with traffic instead of page rank. If there will be traffic towards your site and with good SERP the chances are good that site will get a good page rank.
