No, it won't give you any PR. PR comes from backlinks, nothing else PERIOD!

PR does NOT come from backlinks only.

Backlinks may be the single LARGEST factor in the pagerank of any page on your site, but it is not the only thing. Your own internal link structure has an impact on the PR of different pages. This is published by Google and is well-known and was the reason that "page sculpting" was a major SEO practice until Google's change in handling NoFollow links on your site was revealed.

Thus it all goes back to the the question of "Where Does Page Rank Come From"?

The idea that there is only so much Page Rank in the entire world doesn't make sense. Millions of pages are added to the internet every day which would mean that the amount of page rank would be getting deluded more and more as more pages fill up the web.

Page rank is CREATED by the publishing of content. When you create a page or blog post that is fresh and has no backlinks to it, it doesn't actually have ZERO link juice in and of itself just because it is assigned a PR of 0 by Google.

PR 0 doesn't mean "this page has ZERO" page rank, but instead that the particular page has not accumulated enough PR to read the first level, which happens to be PR 0.

So every page that is "born" on the internet is granted a few drops of link juice. These drops circulate around a site internally through the internal link structure. Links on your own site pointing to various pages are actually links that pass PR and authority, just like "backlinks" from other sites. A link is a link.

Pages on the internet that have higher PR do so because enough of these "drops" of link juice circulate around various pages on other sites internally, then "leak" out in the form of a stream to a different site via "backlinks". If any page on your site happens to collect enough of these link juice streams then your page can graduate to the next level...whether that's PR 1, 2, or 7. (alternatively, if ONE page on your site collects enough link juice streams, like your home page, it can pass that through to other pages on your site through internal linking)

Back to the original point though, if you have enough content on your site and a good internal link structure, you can "boost" your own site from PR 0 to PR 1. Maybe even PR 2.

This would be crazy hard to do though and going out and building links with a few packets of Angela's backlinks would achieve the same results much faster.

Oh, and as PR is only one small element in all the factors which determine your SERP position, building links only internally through tons of content would probably leave you in spot 500 if you were originally in spot 500. Not change. That's because other factors weigh more heavily on ranking than PR.

You will never have a PR1 without backlinks, period. The idea that you can have a PR1 with no backlinks is nonsense. Show me a single example using yahoo site explorer as google never shows all backlinks? As toolbar PR is always a look at the past, it's technically possible that a link you had, which has since been removed, will cause a page to show PR on the toolbar - but it will drop to 0 with the next update. "Fresh content" as in updating regularly is another PR myth.

    Hello friend,

I do not think that it would be possible that your site page increased without back link, because back link is the important part in seo.

Basically PR is all about Page Rank. means your webpage or website is how much popular and how many people view your website. Its all depend on that. So it means you have to build back links of course to get potential traffic.

You need to read the posts. Google NEVER shows all backlinks - it common for it to show a small fraction or none at all - but they still use backlinks they don't show for PR.

As I posted, use Yahoo Site Explorer. Try 127,561 backlinks.

Wrong again. It has NOTHING to do with traffic. You could have a PR9 with NO TRAFFIC.

Stop posting crap. A page can show no toolbar PR because it hasn't gone through a toolbar update, or it can be a PR 0.99 which will show as zero - and can still pass page rank.

We can get PR 2 with unique content, good interlinking seo friendly web site architecture. But, we can't get more than PR 2.
