guys... i am getting good traffic from all search engine but my PR is very low... but i wanna know what is better for SEO pr or traffic??
PR is worthless, traffic is obviously the most important thing as you will want to get visitors to keep making money.
page rank is not equal to traffics. Most people only think about page rank. If you run a directory site, page rank is important, but for us it's traffics. We do SEO to increase the pagerank of the page but most important is to get better results and more traffics to the site. Page rank is not necessary to increase traffics, your page rank could dropped but your traffics increase.
The reason for the emphasis on PR is because it's easy to look up and see the results. The other factors in determining where your site ends up in the listing are more nebulous are are harder to measure. Ultimately its all about traffic, PR is just a measure of progress to that goal. fava
Getting a high PR is like being crowned Prom Queen - great for the ego but not much else. The measure of success (besides making lots of money ) is the amount of targeted traffic you can attract to the site and keep there.
you quest ion is. what is better for seo? For seo purposes PR is better, but in the end the money is made from visitros
PR of one of my blogs is just updated and improved, with this I am also seeing good traffic. In my opinion higher PR will get you higher search engine traffic. Are both of them really related to each other?
THe only way to really monetize High PR is if you want to start selling links on your site at the various link brokerages. You can make some good coin doing just that so I would not disregard High PR as irrelevant...
I wouldn't say that PR is useless, as google will look upon your site better with higher PR. But if you are getting a ton of traffic, then work on building incoming links to your site from websites in the same niche that have PR2+. Once you can get enough of those, your page rank will go up and you will get even more traffic from google.
Much of Google's Algorithm is based on PR. When you talk to the real Veteran SEO guys here and other forums, consensus is that it's just a nice little indicator, the real difference is traffic. You can start targeting more competitive keywords the higher your' PR, but that's pretty much it.
I would much prefer traffic over PR. PR is just like the cherry on top of a good site. After you have the traffic you want, perhaps go for PR. Josh
lol, thats like saying what is better? Vodka(Traffic) or Alcohol (Links/PR) You sell or live with vodka without some alcohol, or it be pointless lol.
If your website doesn't have traffic, it wont' make money. So, PR is definitely underneath the importance of traffic. Generally, by advertising and building traffic, you will naturally build PR too since you should, in theory, be doing some link building, article marketing, etc.
thanks to all guys making precious comments... i will work hard n hard for getting PR as well as traffic... many thanks
Traffic will make you money Pr will not. There are many sites that are listed on the top of the search engines that have no Pr.
More traffic is the way to go for. But yeah if you are into link sales, Blog posts and stuff, Than Pr is important as well. But key is "Traffic" for sure.
You perform SEO on your site to get better rankings in search engines to get better traffic. PR doesn't help in this.
I would say that good traffic is much better than a good PR. We do SEO mostly to rank our sites on the top of SERP's so that we may get more traffic from Search engines. The higher the site the more are the chances to get good traffic. But even if your site has a good PR but is very low in Search engine results then its of no use as hardly any visitors will be able to visit it. The main motive of SEO is to gain the visibility for the site, though PR is one criteria also but not that important. Regards
