Both two are used in our link building activities. But I wonder, how would both differ in terms of traffic? or conversion? Which is more applicable to use in determining the success of a site? PR or Alexa? I want to know answers. So please. Thanks in advance for those who will help.
Hmmmm. First of all search the DP before yu post a question. DP have all the possible solutions for your question. Ok IMO neither PR nor alexa determines the success of your website. PR is something that by having them high in your website we can assume that you have some quality content and i will be useful in PPC, CPC stuffs. And alexa shows according to the traffic to your website. If your traffic is high then alexa will rank lesser and vice versa. But never take this into a/c and think these determine the success of your website. Do a proper on-page optimization and build your links and use some social area networking site to bring traffic to your website. Good luck.
Neither Alexa ranking is a system which is easily manipulated as to make it pretty much irrelevant. PR is one calculation that Google uses and has no relation to traffic.
PR and ALEXA are both important to track a websites rankings. PR checks the quality of your content, importance and relevance of the site. While Alexa mainly counts how much traffic is there on your site but don't be confused because the number used to count your traffic is opposite to PR. I mean, the lower your alexa, the higher your traffic is.
Neither. Alexa ranking is calculated from the toolbar which is mostly used in Asia in general and in India in particular. PR is a ranking from Google alone and has nothing to do with traffic. You can have a PR1 US site making a fortune and a 50,000 alexa ranking PR6 doing nothing. The only thing that make a site successful is it's organic traffic. Period.
I don't have much knowledge about the key difference between alexa and PR .I believe alexa more importantly talks about your traffic than pr...|High PR sites might come up in the search engines.....still i have found many low PRs competing well with other high pr sites.....Google algorithm is difficult to understand.
For me both are useless Pr is just a number Alexa is a crap system that can be cheated with software ... I use common sense and the only thing that counts are the RANKINGS (PR and rankings are diffrent ... things ...)

My blog (non profit) has a PR of 5 and has 56.88% traffic from search engines, 30.20% from referring sites and 12.92% from diect traffic. Which of those sources is 'organic' and why is it more important that the other two sources.
Page Rank get from the total quality of all back links, Alexa Rank get from how many traffic gain your website it is based on based on Alexa Toolbar.
