LOl sorry mate no NO *What is it with every one lol when a PR update goes all we see is these questions*
I'm new to seo for the most part (last october) and I'm well read on a lot of seo subjects. Future PR sites used to use a code that basically took a look at the PR of the top 10 backlinks and made a future PR prediction. Google squashed that code a few months ago and most of those sites went away. Iwebtools seems to kick out predictions still: http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction I don't know how accurate they are or how they get their data. (if anyone knows, please tell) I do know that nobody knows when the next PR change will take place. It's usually every 3-4 months but with the recent changes, who knows. Mike
You people have got to stop these "when's the next update" questions. Bob's page is the best pr update tracking page i've seen yet. Go have a look there.
I have a site that was PR4 yesterday and PR3 today. ( to be honest Ive done nothing with it to deserve any PR but what harm!) I have another site thats yet to get its PR.. I presume something to do with playing in the Sand(box).... Should a *new* site PR update before the "Toolbar PageRank" update?
Actually sandbox effect will not affect your pr. You can gain PR just fine and normally but still be sandboxed, I have direct experience of this. The real key is to not get sandboxed.
No, this place sooooo needs a forum where we can smack people upside the head for talking about the next PR update or referring people to bobmutch's case study in OCD where he lists all previous update dates for the last two years as if that will tell anything about future updates that you couldn't get by spitting into the wind and counting the number of seconds between the next roll of thunder and when the spit comes back and hits you in the face and multiplying that by the number of stars in the part of the night sky between that cloud over there and the one just a wee bit further over that looks a bit like Jughead.
It may be true but the last PR update did happen in April My glamour models contest and gallery site www.ratemodels.net did achieve PR4 then after 1 1/2 months of existence only
That's a new twist! I thought most shrinks are good at sitting there and listening to crazy people spill their guts for hours on end? Isn't that, in essence, what we have here? (excluding myself of course). How much would you charge my wife to talk to you for 1 hr about how much she hates DMOZ and how much it's costing her company? I'd gladly pay you so that I don't have to listen, lol. Oh yeah, I always wanted to ask someone in your profession this .....does listening to crazy or mentally ill people for years on end make you go crazy in the end...want to take a baseball bat to every moron that give you a dirty look?
PageRank is not important but the TRAFFIC is more important to you site. The higher your PR, it doesn't increase PPC but the higher traffic you get, the higher you will see your PPC.
