    Hello,

I have a new BlogHosting Site, i have few PR6-7 sites linking my way, i do get some hits from SE`s on my correct keywords and such.

My site is 1.5 months old, and still = PR0 :(

How does it work, ? Is it updated once in a while, or do i need to get more links to my site to gain PR?

    Thank YOU! :)

Well - you call Google up and you pay for the PR level you want.

    (just kidding)

PR s updated about every 3 months. We're almost due for an update.

Just hold on, you are going to have a decent PR in next update if the PR6-7 which link to you is relevant :D

Yep and if you didn't do as I did when I read about the importance of BL. The first I bought was on eBay, it was a PR8 I paid $300 for a year. Then I realized that the site was banned, the page not cached and the PR was 'fake' as the site went PR0 at the next update....

The best... try the Co-op network.

that is cool that you have a pr 6/7 linking to you. That should really get your page rank up there. Keep up the good work and just continue getting quality links.

I wouldnt focus on PR since its just a number.

What I would focus on is if that anchor text on those pr6-7 sites is the best that it could be. Are the keywords competitive? Are they highly searched? ect.

Placing links on sites for a better PR does nothing for you unless you are placing the appropriate anchor text.

Don't focus on pagerank, pagerank can easily be bought (many people buy links on websites to increase pagerank)

That is one of SEO techniques. Playing around with anchor text. But it doesn't seems to have much effect on ranking. For example: take a look at hotscripts.com

See how ppl point to their site and also how they are listed in DMOZ. They don't play with anchor text, but yet, when you search for free scripts, php scripts and almost anything about scripting, what you see is hotscripts.

I think Google summerize all those link popularity. The higher it is the more often they will update their listing. This is only my simple thought. Correct me if im wrong :D
