I've been using live PR checkers and PR predictors and i'm getting a bit confused. I've been told by a PR predictor that the PR of my site is going to drop from 6 to 4. however i heard that the PR update has already happened. yet i've seen no changes. whats happening??
here .. chk your PR here... http://livepr.raketforskning.com/ this will give you some Idea... by the way I read somewhere on DP that Matt Cutts has confirmed that this is an Infrastructure update and not a PR update. So it will take a while before y our PRs are stable..
because the pr update has happened and passed and your site was not affected - i.e. no change. obviously the prediction was inaccurate - most of the prediction tools are...
well, at this update my homepage PR remained at 3, but the rest of pages got 3, i don`t know, thinking it was supposed to be 4 on homepage
an infrastructure update? i'm probably being really thick here but could you let me no what and infrastructure update is please? cheers
They don't, at best it gives a guess, they don't now things such as the exactlt value of the damping factor, which links Google takes into account and any penalties given to those.
Do you want to Google "google infrastructure update" or would you like someone to do it for you and type out the explanation?
Typing the explantion for me of would beeen nice (Im a lazy ass) I Just read Matts blog, Great stuff, explains everything.
I believe in this too. To waste of time. You go one day to see your predicted pr it ups, the other day it downs...this has no sense. Google thinks it too. I think they update the algorithm with improvements every PR update. If this update really happened (as i believe) my sites PR wasn't affected. But one thought come to my mind: Isn't the PR update separated site by site? Or is a global update? I believe is personally...or country related, whatever....
