when is next PR update due... does is happens after certain time frame?? please suggest? i wana know so that i can plan uploading bulk content on the web site
1) No one knows when the next PR update will occur unless a) you have ESP or b) you are an insider working at Google. When people talk about PR updates, they are referring to the Google Toolbar Page Rank updates. 2) A toolbar PR update has absolutely NO affect on how your URLs rank at Google. The toolbar PR is NOT used for ranking purposes. It's simply a snapshot of what you're URL's PR was at some point in the past. Even on the day the toolbar PR update is published, it's already several weeks old. You're looking at history. Your URL's "actual" PR is updated constantly, but you will never know what it is. It is this "actual" PR that is used in the ranking algorithm. If you're waiting on a toolbar PR update to publish some content thinking somehow that it's going to provid you some type of boost then you are waiting for nothing. I would spend a little time learning about what Google Page Rank is.
in about 3 days, it will have been exactly 4 months since the last update. Seems Google is starting to get a little slow with "fresh and quality" information on the internet.
Nice blog post, it sum's up PR very well. To the OP: Focus on your site and post your content, then market and distribute. Do that first, then worry about getting links and building PR.
lol .... in this world of Google pr I can tell anyone do not ever get the Google pr tool bar in your browser... just type in pr or save a pr tool link on you hard disck... why ... warnings to all PR seekers .... tool bars will allow viruses to kill your pc ... further more your PC will run slower .... then your in trouble.... I had IYogi.com inform me of the trends on pr tools and pr bars ... they warn do not useum ................ I get uge pr from blogging about education and things people sear for in a city ... this is a good Google trend to follow .... also why worry about pr... when you know what you write about is niche ......
I have been following the rankings of my sites, and a day or two ago Google reordered the top 10 listings. It changed quite dramatically.. my site stayed where it was but all other results changed a lot. Even one of the authority sites dropped down off the listings. I guess this is different from PR but it was a Google listings update. I know this changes all the time, but this was a big shift the results.
There are generally two types of updates. Normal update that happen about once in two weeks and major update that happens once in 3 months. In major update all the Google servers are synchronized. Read Google Official blog and other related help sections for more info.
let me be the first to tell you - if your blogging every day about niche market page rank will follow but if you have a single website for the above page rank unless your domain is at least 3 to 5 years old.
Google is the only one who knows when the next PR update will be. It's kinda erratic these days, and I don't get too concerned about it. Traffic and ranking are far more important than pagerank.
Google page rank is not necessarily the scale is measured optimization of a webpage. All that little green bar is a major............. so if all of you here think that little green bar Google.com is serving you purpose than be honest how much traffic is your website really getting. The bottom line here is Google's page rank is supposed to be 50% of the traffic coming into your website the second part of Google page rank is optimize Asian of your webpages content.................... so if you're optimization is good and your site pages are built well why worry about Google page rank..................
No one really knows when will your sites PR will increase or decrease. As long as search engines thinks that your site is relevant then you will have a higher chance for your sites PR to increase.
