It has started. :-( My main site was a pr6 and is 5 or 6 depending on the dc. Check http://www.seochat.com for mosaicmercantile.com :-(
All I'm seeing is PR flux... this has been going on for a while now. I haven' noticed REAL PR changes to any of my sites. so this is yet another false PR thread. I used: http://www.wmtoolkit.net/seo-tools/pagerank-checker/
naw i dont think it is a flux as i have been watching it slowly change across the dcs for a few days now. when i think about it, it is about time for an update.
and another one pr5 going to pr4 www.northmissionroad.com previously pr4. looks like it is going downhill for a lot of my domains.
PR is fluctuating all the time, more than my love life it seems <ahem... Hey, who said that!>>.... Is it important? No..... Lets continue concentrating on making a living shall we, and let big G continue the Einstein revolution .
Etched in stone until the end of time. Whatever your Page Rank is now....that's it. Finished. You PR4s...that's forever. But, fortunately, it will no longer count for anything. Google announced late today that PR was to be replaced with a new system "SiteMargin (beta)" in which the number of pages indexed times the links to those pages divided by the square of the page authority of those backlinks plus an error term (which is apparently the number of metatag keywords greater than five divided by the number of keywords which appear on the page times a constant (rumoured to be an anagram of Larry in hexidecimal)) regressed against an dependent time variable. But, and here the wording is a little less clear, apparently each page scoring over 3 on this new system will be hand reviewed by non-English speakers hired through Amazon's Automatic Turk for page design and web standards compliance. I think. Never let engineers write press releases. Or, this might just be a joke.
Agggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! I've been drawn into another update thread. Nice one Hows me new site BTW?
There is slight correction in formula. This would be further regressed using maximum likelihood estimates, then apply Box-Jenkins analysis to forecast the correct figure and therafter Pareto Optimal would be applied along with Dostoevsky-minimum to achieve the results. Or, this might just be a joke.
Me too I not only read but am posting on this thread as well. We need a pagerank sticky and all post should be made there only... just a humble suggestion!
