PR Update Question (Homepage has two PR'Ss)

A directory I co-own got a PR of 2.

This URL is PR 2: http://www.xeenit.com/directory/
But, this URL has a PR of 3 http://www.xeenit.com/directory/index.php

Is there a reason for that?

Should I make http://www.xeenit.com/directory/ redirect to the link with the PR 3? Thanks.

 

Because there is 2 different urls google considers them as 2 different pages that's
why the 2 pages have a different pr.

Best to redirect the / to the index.php then if the index.php has more PageRank. That would make sense.

 

I suggest you 301 redirect xeenit.com/directory/index.php to xeenit.com/directory/.

I have a similar prob... my domain.com is pr5 and www.domain.com is pr2 thats a big difference

 

I would not worry about it. It will make NO DIFFERENCE in the SERPs.

Reason I cared is because I can probably make more money with having the PR 3 link as my homepage.

Thats weird though because I spent tons of time and money promoting xeenit.com/directoryand no time or money AT ALL promoting xeenit.com/directory/index.php and it has a higher PR.
