It seems that the theory may indeed be correct.

So far, only sites in Europe have been updated.

Hmmmm... Interesting theory as well. To me I always thought they took certain extensions or certain niche site 1st. Or sometimes they put certain sites last like blogs and or forums. But I have no proof, to much work and takes time away from my own interests. So I nvr took time to prove or disprove. But it sounds almost right. That Google does take certain things 1st and gives them PR 1st.

I don't think think google will update accordingly to country. They see everything as a web.

So far, the evidence (limited as it is, seems to point to this) It would be great if we could hear from more people that have had sites updated so we could test this further.

I have all my sites hosted at USA but non of them has been updated only one is updated but that has been dropped from PR3 to PR0

I am expecting a PR update of almost 35 other sites and 15 directories.

And as far as my experience says PR is not updating country wise its updating as per the datacenters.

But what I have seen is that google is updating sites as per there backlinks which they or quality of the backlinks which they what I have seen this time is dropping of PR is done first then upwards

What you say about this anybody has experienced this kind of think?

Please share so everybody will get the idea about it

I'm hosted in Denmark, and indeed no PR update on any of my sites yet. (Even though Denmark is EU member) ;)
Very interesting theory, and could be very true!

Without wanting to start anther PR thread I think that there is still a few days until the update is over.

So, until then... who know what will be updated and what has only been partially updated?

So far this is what we have:

    Updated: Germany, Eu, France

Not updated (or no evidence of such) : Australia, US, Canada.

Seems that the European continent has been updated and none others have so far.

To those that say that Pr is updated in datacentres, I do not mean that the google dance is not updated in datacentres (when you get PR differences in several different datacentres.) I am talking about the fact that two weeks ago, there were reports of the PR toolbar update going on.

These only appear to have happenned in the European continent so far. No one has responded with a positive Pr update in anywhere else.

This suggests that the European continent (and maybe others we have not heard from) are updated two to three weeks before everyone else.

This may mean that those who do not experience the first PR update in the first week or so do not have to worry if they are not in Europe.

It also means that those who have not experienced an update cannot accuse the others of lying just because theirs has not been updated. (PR denial)
