Just a quick question. I have heard somewhere (can't remember) That if you have site that is say PR5, and it has a single link to another site then that site will also be PR5 - As long as the two sites are related. Is this a fact or a myth?

myth. for a start PR doesn't have anything to do with relevance of a link, its just link quantity and authority.

also only a fraction of PR is transfered, as per the damping in the algo. mythmythmyth.

maybe if you redirect the Pr5 website to the other one, you can transfer the PR

    i heard 3 PRX links make PRX-1

so 3 PR5 links will give PR4, so long as the PR5 links are quality, and have few outbound links on that page....

Unless you sell outbound links page rank is not as important as you may think! I mean page rank is great & I would love to have a PR5 site but I also have websites with a PR1 that beat PR6 for competitive key phrases. But to answer the question I would say yes! If you get a strong PR5 website with a lot of content to link to you and only you it could make your site a PR5 but if you ever lost the link you would also loose your page rank.

myth.. cant transfer the PR. its based on many factors of the perticular domain. If transfer the BL and Traffic to new site gradually there is a chance of getting PR. This will take long time
