I haven't heard of this one, but I came across PR Prowler once. That was a kind of program which helped in finding good link partners which you could exchange links with, which will then help in improved PR. Haven't tried that either.

PR Storm is utter junk and i wouldn't recommend using it.

I done some testing with it on some junk info's and the results were bad. What it does is referer spam as Smyrl said, basically it visits 1,000s of sites to simulate a visitor going from your domain to the target domain so your URL shows up in their referer log.

Then it relies on these websites publishing their refer logs on the web, hence creating a backlink to your site. If you check the list of sites, they contain questionable sites such as gay-midget-porn.com and other such domains. If your happy about 100's of porn, banned and spammy sites linking to you then go for it but my advice is don't.

Sweetfunny, how are the sites spammed with your referrer info selected? Does program target stats of say Awstats or Webalizer?

Yes, it simulates someone clicking a link on your domain through to the target domain. So in their stats it will have your domain as the referer URL. Alot of webmaster then post their refers, or have an automated script that lists the top refering URL's and when this is published to the web you get an instant backlink.

An example page of a published referer list is this PR5 page:

    http://maddox.xmission.com/statistics/statistics.html

If you had a text link on your site to that maddox site and enough people clicked the link, you would end up on that PR5 page. Alot of webmasters publish their refers like that to bait traffic and backlink from people hoping to get on the list.

PR Storm and other such programs automate the task and bypass having to put a text link on your own site, or send real human traffic.

But.. As you can see, these referer pages are just link farms and not a real desirable source of backlinks. My demo URL is far better quality then anything on these PR Storm lists, it's the first one that came to mind to show an example.

These PR Storm type softwares are mainly low PR porn sites, no doubt intentionally put on the PR Storm list so they can sell the sites off as "receiving 10,000 visitors a month"

So that's how the whole vicious circle works. :)

    Found this thread in google

Sounds like it's similar to TrafficSeeker. If that's the case yes there's be some improvement but it would have to run a long time

I got also tukanas hit generator, its like prstorm almost the same UI.. I just downloaded it free. Yes it is a black hat tool. I don't if it is effective but some review says that it could make your site spam. Imagine that there so many visitors in your site that haven't that before. It could be effective but just use it wisely or don't abuse it of using to your site.
