PR have nothing to do with traffic. There is many way to build traffic to your site: 1. Search Engine 2. Forum sig link 3. Article marketing 4. viral marketing 5. PPC Just search Google on 'how to build traffic' and you will get an answer to your question.
Submitting to directories was one strategy and "a must" that my friend told me about marketing blogs or sites. I also did that for my site marikenya.com but not too much. What I believe was instrumental in my blog getting a PR3 was the content and my strategy to concentrate on some categories in my site. At first, my blog contents was not focused and I have a lot of categories but I realized what was wrong when my friend who's blog was newer than mine got her PR4 easily because her blog dealt on one topic --- marriage and family. So, that was what I did, i kinda focused on the niche of my blog and my geeky (hehehe) friend also told me to limit my external links in my homepage. I'm still new in this and I'm not sure exactly the working of google in terms of pr but id like to share with you what I believed worked for me which may be helpful to you too. Good luck!
Thanks for the info. I really dont care about page ranking. I just care about traffic and i thought high page ranking = higher on search engine = more traffic so other words you telling me PR has nothing to do with traffic ? When traffic comes then PR comes up
marikenya I see you are from the philippines. I love that place. I vacation there every year. Which i could live there. Thats why i am trying so hard to get this adsense and stuff working.
My site (see sig) is still PR one and I've got nearly fifty pages listed in Google and over one thousand backlinks. I;d like to see my PR go up, but I guess I'll need to get more high quality backlinks.
Do not understand why my blog has a PR ranking 7 but i never go there and has almost no traffic. Never even had an ad clicked there 1 time. But it has a 7 naked-short-selling-stocks.blogspot
