Well two pr 4 sites are better than one. Your link popularity will be higher for 2 pr 4 sites than just one pr 4 site. As far as the length of time you should keep them, if you are looking to increase your pr Google does a pagerank update roughly every three months. So I'd say about three months is good.

If you are looking for traffic, than I would say keep the links on their site as long as possible provided they give you flexible prices. And two pr 4 sites should definitely bring you more traffic than one.

    I agree with Telsa.
2 PR4 is better than one. Try to think of it like this... Say you have a link on a PR4 site. That PR4 site is, in essence, casting a 'vote' for your website. The higher the PR rating of a site, the greater 'value' of the vote that is being cast for your site, and kind of filters a fraction of a PR to your site from that 'vote'/link. So the more links from sites with PR ratings you have, the higher your PR rating will go. BUT keep in mind that google also count up outbound links and reduces the 'value' of their 'vote/link for every link that the website has. So in simple terms, it's more worth while to have a link on a PR2 site with only couple outbound links, than a PR10 with thousands of outbounds.

I hope I explained that clearly enough, hehehe.

    Cheers
