Does anyone here have any insight into how the PR is distrubuted for internal pages within a site ??

I am just asking, as I did a PR check of all pages on my site, and found that some new pages ( about 3 months old ) have all shot up to a PR4 each, whilst other pages, that have been online for a year or so now, have remained at PR3.

I dont have a problem with the PR for any of pages, but was just wondering what could be the reason for the big PR rating for my newer pages while others haven't changed at all.

Strangely enough, all of these new pages that have now all jumped from PR0 to PR4 are all .php pages, while my older ones are all .html. ( I doubt that this makes any difference, but it is pretty strange ).

In my case, the home page did increase to a PR5, but it is the PR of these new pages that has surprised me - simply because they are no longer than 3 months old, whereas pages I have had for over a year have stayed at the same PR.

PR is passed from your own pages to other pages on your site (by the internal linking)

Also check to see what inbound links you have to your inner pages
