Let's say I have a site that's hosted on another site, and the URL is blahblah.blahblah.com

Will my site still be updated for PR? Or will it have the same PR as blahblah.com?

    Thanks

Do you mean do subdomains have the same PR as the domains they rest on?

Yeah. Do sub domains have their own PR, or do they follow the PR of the actual domain? Because my site is hosted off of a friend, so I'm just worried that my PR will always be 0.

PR is to do with pages not domains see, PAGE rank. Your pr is only determined by the incoming links to that page and the pr of those incoming links. So yes subdomains have their own pr as does each page of your site.

You just said "no subdomains don't get pr" and then said "my site on a subdomain has pr1".

Your site has a small pr because it only has two pr 0 backlinks to your main page and their both from the same site, your lucky you even got that.

I believe he is saying that subdomains don't get PR from the domain they are hosted on. He is answering Computerized's question. I assume english is his/her second language, but if you read it careful you'll get it.

    Computerized,

There's really no mixed opinions. Every page gets it's own PR. The domain doesn't really matter. If you have 2 million pages on a domain, they will each have individual PR. So basically, it doesn't matter where a page is.. subdomain, main domain, 20 subdirectories down, wherever a page is.. it gets page rank.

And the more links to that page, the more page rank it gets, as links pass PR. (unless they have a no follow tag allegedly.)

    Hope that makes sense.

Sorry for double post, but I have another question. If I submit my subdomain link to sites, will Google count that as a higher PR for my subdomain, or just the regular domain? Because I used the PR predictor for my subdomain site, and it said "Prediction: Unknown" and then I checked the regular domain and it predicted that the PR would be 3 (97% sure).
So have all my efforts gone down the drain? I really think that Google is counting the links to my subdomain as links to the regular domain..

Search engines treat subdomains as actual sites, independant of their top domain, so links to your subdomain will only effect your subdomain.

Anyway, as previously stated each page gets its own pr and rankings, so you could point all your links to a page deep inside your site and it would rank better then your main page.
