First of all thanks for looking at this thread. Sorry if this question was posted before. For your information, I'm giving some examples: blablabla.com - empty blablabla.com/forum - Where my forum is located If I redirect visitors to blablabla.com/forum by putting a simple script to blablabla.com, will my PR shows FAKE?
yeah.. i've seen some forums that use redirection from .com to .com/forum with 0 PR even though they've got a lot of traffic and content.
What if the backlinks are point to blablabla.com? Even though it is redirecting to /forum, but it is unlikely that blablabla.com's backlinks will be neglected. Just want to make myself clear before doing that, I would not want to say a "OMGWTF!"
A site is currently doing this without affecting the validness of its PR. Somehow people are more likely thinks that it will give a fake PR
well, why do u need to redirect..?? because u have nothing to do with the domain's first page. instead of redirecting why dont u install ur forum direct in the index place..?
Actually I wanted to redirect visitors to my forum's blog before entering the forum, so some of them can make them clear what are they going to do(i.e rules, news, updates). Making an integrated site(site link with forum) is too troublesome though.
