If i brought a page rank 3 domain name, and changed all the content, meta tags etc. How long would it remain pr 3?

    Would it suffer from this?

No I don't think it will remain PR for long. There may be many people who are linking to older website home and internal pages. And when they are unable to find the page they actually linked, they will remove your website links. I hope this will help you

PR is related to a web page not to a domain! Usually front page has higher PR the other pages. When you will change the content for this domain you will loose some back links or they will be less important because of different keywords. PR will drop unless you continue with site promotion and get new relevant links from sites with similar content.

It would be displayed as PR3 till next PR update. It can lose PR as old backlinks won't not carry that much weight because of the change in the content. However, you can maintain/improve the PR with proper promotion.

Change in content doesn't affect your site PR. Backlinks is the basis in decrease in PR.

Should remain the same, you may only experience drop in rankings.

It will remain the same, unless & until if you make the website a popular one, with getting traffics & hits....But if you fail to make a kind of website and won't promote....thn sorry for PR.

The pagerank depends mostly on the backlinks, so even if you change the content, the PR will remain the same [in most cases]. I have done such thing, where I totally changed all the content [Niche] of my site, but the PR remained the same.
