PR Quesiton?

Hello,
I have a quick question for all you veterans about PR.

I know if you're in the sandbox, you're not going to come anywhere near the SERPS, but what about PR? If there's a toolbar pr update and your site has been indexed by Google, will your PR update or will you just stay at zero until you're actually OUT of the sandbox?

PR works the same way for everyone whether in the sandbox or not.

 

I wasn't able to find 2 sites of our clients in SERPs during the first 2-3 months after launch, as well as PR was 0. Meanwhile I did link exchange, submitted to relevant directories, and after the next Google update both sites appeared in SERPs on good positions and got PR 3.

 

Public PR only updates every 3 to 4 months

 

I predict the next PR update will be October. But I could be wrong.

 

sandbox is about age of site (and links). A PR6 or PR8 site with alexa ranking of 1,000 could still in google's sandbox if the site is less than 9 month old.

next PR update is around Oct. 20.
