    Hello

can somebody explain, why my site loss his PR.

site is established 199-2000, last 2 years have PR6 (at 2003 somethime i check it appear PM 7) and now more than 1.5 month site loss PR and now is PR5 (check with www; http; and without)

    what the reason . i don't know.
google even don't view 3 DMOZ links from different categories, yahoo directory links ... etc ... only few local-national links.

i check in dmoz and yahoo my links are live.

very interesting are stats of http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/?action=mode_change&new_mode=links

    xxx.com 380links PR6
    www.xxx.com 380 links PR6
    www.xxx.com/index.php 694 links PR5

    ????

for example stats from altavista are 16.200 backlinks.

it's a news site and every day google update my site, 90% of pages are listed in google (more than 10K pages), only for last month googlebot make 2.5gb traffic on my site.

can somebody explain what's the matter ?

Maybe the pages that link to you lost PR.

PR is not absolute in whole numbers, and once you grasp that it makes life a little less stressful.

You might have had a PR 6.00000001 and now are a PR5.99999999, in this case you have lost a tiny amount of pr, but enough to take you down below 6, so you show as a 5.

Page rank is relative to every other page in the google index, all 4.5 billion of the little buggers. How they relate to each other is how page rank is assigned. The recent Traffic power banning and Zeroing of PR is sure to have a knock on effect IMO, as they were directing hoardes of PR. Of course, now the bubble has burst on TP, a lot of legitimately linked sites are also going to lose any PR they gained from those banned sites.

Like has been posted, relax, add a couple more links, and hopefully it will all come out in the wash. :)

    yahoo and dmoz links? :)

they loss their Pr ? and why google loss this pages from his results? :)

i think that update is every month or quickly (as i told u googlebot make 2,5gb traff in July)

it's not realistic .. .because google don't check some high pr links (as from yahoo or dmoz), and for last 2 months i add ~50 new backlinks to my site else

Sounds like you are not interested in hearing our ideas on the matter. Why bother ask if you are going to laugh off all suggestions? You can challenge our findings but you can leave the smileys if you ask me.
