How accurate have you guys found this to be http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction has it ever been on? Curious thanks in advance!
I've never seen one that is more accurate than a good guess, although I have never used this one before. I ran 20 domains of mine through it, and it seems right on a few, but it appears to be making too high of a prediction by a factor of one or two on most.
I have one URL that is supposed to go up to a PR8. That would be nice but I hardly think it is accurate. Another one of those tools is telling me it will be a PR 5. Take it all with a grain of salt. I think these things are most useful to keep you going on link building and seo till the next Google update. Ever since they stopped updating the page rank regularly, I think a lot of webmasters have been needing a way to stay motivated.
Drinks for everyone if iwebtool is accurate about a PR4 site going to a PR8 even though no backlinks have been added.
We all know that there's no PageRank prediction tools that are accurate. Well, we all know that to predict a PR one must "simply" know a PR algorithm, and we all know that it is impossible (well, I'd say "almost impossible" since I believe there's nothing impossible ). So, all those PageRank prediction tools are simply time-killers like a Windows' "Minesweeper"... They can be more accurate or less accurate, but you'd like to know the exact PR of one (two, tree, seventy six) website you own - and... oh, I suppose you know it - to get a good prediction you should... ask Google! (but I'm afraid they do not provide such a service so far)
I have only added backlinks to two of my websites, but iwebtool suggest that all five of my websites PR are increasing(alot). Think it's way off.
I have a custom coded tool I use for checking my own sites and I have noticed that iWebTool are using a bigdaddy datacenter for doing their PR updates. When I compare the PR estimate from the BD Datacenters with the www.google.com datacenters BD is generally at least one PR point higher than the standard. While I'd love to believe that this will stay once BD goes live google wide I HIGHLY doubt it..
