So I have checked a few PR5-PR3 domains listed for sale at DP using backlinkwatch - neither of domains have shown to have any backlinks yet they did show PR in google bar as stated. How is it possible for high PR domain to have no know backlinks - of any kind (PR/non-PR)?
Yeah, PR is updated less often so it is a good possibility that when they are updated the PR will change.
Most likely faking PR. You should use Archive.org and check the history of the domain, and see if it was redirected before.
I am a seller of Page Rank domains. Here's what you should do before buying any PR domains. 1. Check the PR using: Cekpr.com or any valid PR checker. 2. Check the backlinks using: opensiteexplorer.org / majesticseo.com/ seospyglass i 3. Check the archives for redirections using: archive.org 4. Check Google using: info:www.domainname.com Sometimes Google awards high PR to domains without backlinks. yes, sounds questionable, but we don't know why. Thus, a domain may have high PR with 0 backlink. However, some people also use "redirection", then remove the redirection, and what shows for some time is the real page rank of the other website. Hence, resulting to fake PR. it is imperative, you all check carefully before buying. Hope that helps.
