    Traffic isn't going to increase your SERPs. It is a result of an increase in SERPs.

    You may be a little confused on this subject. Read about building links to your site. Building links will increase your SERPs and PR.

    Neither have real impact on your position in the SERPS. However, your PR is usually a reflection of the quality and quantity of backlinks you have. Thus, increasing your ultimate position.
