on my phpLD admin page....when you select to add new categories, there's also an option for Symbolic Categories.
Interesting... Is this before there are any listings in the directory, or do they typically import dummy listings to fill it up before buying?
Either, an empty directory doesn't look good, though with high PR pages, the fewer links the better for most webmasters
I have another question....say I invested in submitting to some high PR directory to get a higher PR for my own. Then later decided to submit to free directories some with very low or even zero PR, will that decrease my PR?
Well, the fewer links the better makes sense. But why qualify it with the bit in bold? I was under the impression that high PR outbound links cannot hurt you.
Maybe this is off-topic, maybe it's another discussion, but I believe inbound links can't hurt, even if they're from total spam. They may not help, but why would they hurt? The argument goes that if inbound links hurt, then anyone could spam their competitors by lnking to them from crappy websites. If every two-bit unmanaged directory linked to apple.com, I don't thik its PR would fall to an eight. No offense to the owners of two-bit unmanaged directories.
