I have several websites and have noticed that those websites which get higher number of visitors get also higher PR even that they have similar / same number of backlinks.

    Anyone else has noticed this?

t's the result, not the cause, has high PR simple indicated you have more advance on backlinks or other things

No. I have 3 PR 4 sites now.

One gets 15-20k visits a day. One gets 2-5k visits a day. One gets ... oh, 1-10 visits a day.

Pr plays very little in your traffic. I have sites with good Pr that get very little traffic.

And sites with no Pr that get 1k+ a day

PR is all about backlinks - It has nothing to do with the site content or the overall visitors count.

Although the patterns you see in your websites suggest there might be a pattern, it is a very small sample size and I think you have also confused correlation with causation.

It is not a general rule, PR is not directly proportional to search results for they have different algorithm. A PR0 site can outrank PR5 site.

PR is more than just backlinks these days. Google has made it quite clear that it is now based on links from *related* sites. So, one possible scenario is that your sites with higher PR have more links from similar sites (although total number of BLs is the same). Since visitors to those sites would have the same interest, they are very likely to click through to yours resulting in higher traffic. That's just one possible explanation for what you're seeing.
