Great job Martel but still let me tell you G algo. has been changed totally. View this link below. PR 3 Page But back links 0 Still i am confused on this very much topic, Hope you may find some more information regarding this.
here is another one: http://www.thrusites.com/tools/pagerank-calculator/index.php?do=1 take a look at this site: http://www.jcorp.com.my/ (pr4) ... then take a look at this: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=link:www.jcorp.com.my&btnG=Google+Search there is only 4 backlinks which is pr2, pr3, no pr, no pr .... how come this website is pr4????
How did you reach those figures. Sure it looks impressive but the methodology is important to know for understanding the effectiveness of the numbers.
Do affiliate (banner) links <iframe src=...> contribute to PR the same as simple <a href=...> text links. I am wondering about such affiliate banner link at the bottom of this site? Do this kind of links contribute to PR: <a href="http://www.wunderground.com/US/AZ/Phoenix.html?bannertypeclick=infoboxtr"> <img src="http://banners.wunderground.com/weathersticker/infoboxtr_both/language/www/US/AZ/Phoenix.gif" border=0 alt="Click for Phoenix, Arizona Forecast" height=108 width=144></a> It's a weather sticker from a weather forecast website, I have about 1000 of them throughout my web-site, does having 1000 of them hurt my web-site's PR? Thanks.
You bet, John Leger, recently did a study on this, and he confirmed that unrelated topics do add to your site's importance in the eyes of google, not as much as a link from a related site, but it does still add some "juice" to your site.
Good point. It's what I had always been told because they're government sites and google supposedly regarded links from them higher. but I could be wrong.
People are always trying to predict stuff like this but it is impossible to truly know. Only Google will ever know.
