PR Juice vs. dofollow OBL's?

I read somewhere that PR link juice is divided up among all the dofollow links on a page. Is this still true? In other words, is a link from a PR5 page where it is the only dofollow on the page going to pass much more link juice than a PR5 page where there are 10 other dofollow links?

I have the impression that the link juice is divvied up such that the page with just one PR5 dofollow would give 85% of the link juice to that one site... and that the one with 10 PR5 links would give out about 8.5% of its page rank to each page.

That is notwithstanding other on-page factors like placement of the link, size of the link, etc.

I also have the impression that as the number of dofollow links gets very high, there is some penalty for excessive linking so the value is reduced beyond the simple division.

    Is this roughly right?

Working off of this assumption, I am trying to judge what the equivalent number of dofollow links is to translate into the toolbar pagerank.

For example, let's say a PR6 page with a single dofollow link will pass enough juice for that other link to rank PR5 without doing much else. Now if I have 5 dofollows on the page, maybe each one would only transfer enough juice to make those other pages PR4.

Does anybody else think pagerank flows like this? If so, what do you think the right numbers are?

On a related note, I am trying to get an idea of whether this link juice division is shared evenly between internal links (to other pages on the site) vs. outbound links. Do a lot of internal links on the page reduce the link juice that an OBL gets?

I say 100% losing link juice at all to outbound links is a BIG myth imo

The black & white diagram on the wikipedia page for "pagerank" shows pages with 2 links passing half of their juice to each link, before it explains the .85 damping factor.

    Is that obsolete?
