PR isn't PageRank...

Did you know that PR stands for PigeonRank, and not PageRank? While nowadays everyone refers to it as PageRank, PigeonRank was the original name of the ranking system that Google developed in 2002 I think it was.

Read it while looking through a simple Google TimeLine

 

i heard that first time, "PigeonRank" sounds funny

 

Even Google was not intended to be spelled the way it is now done. !!

cool, i don't think it really matters though, and Page Rank makes a lot more sense... could you imagine if everyone was going crazy over their pigeon rank, it just doesn't sound right

Yeah, I think Pigeon Rank is a better indication of its relevance, or maybe Page Prank

In medical term, PR is "per rectal". We often say PR examination for per rectal examination.

So CheckPR might be confusing for medical professionals.

If that was the case so many webmaster would not want thier PR to go up LOL
