    "content is king" not pr

    I have done a little research and sites rank high because of many features, yes quality inbound links is perhaps the most important. So PR is an indicator of how well you site may rank, but it is unrelated.

    Hard to understand but yes high PR sites rank well, but its not because of their high PR. PR is just a ranking . . .

    It is interesting that I was building content on the site, and did no external promotions for it.

    Yea, our traffic is way up but our PR is down. But so were our back links down. Bad link partners maybe?

    4 of the PR of my sites went down:

    from PR4 to PR0
    from PR3 to PR0
    from PR3 to PR0
    from PR2 to PR0

    this is extremely disappointing

    SEE...now there is a use for Page Rank. It is a good way to identify if your site has red flags. You must certainly have some to end up with a PR0. I have had to deal with this a fewtimes with clients.
    Have G site map installed on the site? It will tell you what 'issues' there are.

    Would be a good idea...
