PR is important or Alexa Ranking?

comparing alexa with PR is like comparing puteto with tomato as these two are made for completely 2 different things

 

In my opinion alexa rank matters more. coz if we get high traffic, then we can earn more money through adsense. Pr updates for every 3 months and we can gain PR or loose PR, but traffic to site is all webmasters need

 

Who Cares about PR if you are Not Getting Traffic? Alexa of Course!! Just My Opinion.

 

I go with alexa ranking because traffic is more important than just links....

 

For me, PR is for authority and Alex is for taffic, and the traffic is not the real one but based on traffic to individual websites with the Alexa toolbar.

 

I feel confused,now I think alexa rank is better.

 

i think its depend on you if you want to earn money by selling links and writing articles for payu2blog like site so you have to good pr but if you want to earn form affiliates or from adsense so its more improtant you should try to get more targeted traffic its all depend on you what you decide

 

Both are the important factors to determine the importance of a website. To me, I would say page rank is a bit more influential.

 

Alexa Rankin for me... cos if i have top alexa then automatically that means more traffic to ma blog... what the hell i do by PR? I can use the traffic in any way i want.

 

I'd have to agree that with the people who are saying that PR is definitely more important. Backlinks are main factor for determining a site's ranking in Google, so...

 

Alexa toolbar is mainly used in Asia? I heard it the first time

Frankly I don't think that pr and Alexa is important,the most important is content

 

Most of us check the credibility of a website through high page rank because if you have high page rank it means that your site is working well and do some link building and promotion of the site. But for me , I always check if the site is relevant and check also the alexa ranking. Through alexa ranking we would know if the site has a visitors. But it depends.

 

In my opinion both PR and Alexa rank are useless, and traffic is what matters.
Alexa can be manipulated with its toolbar, and same with PR as well. As you can get PR4 or higher with some high PR5-6 links, and in that case you can not decide the credibility of the site on the base of manipulated Alexa rank and PR.

 

I prefer PR, Alexa is not effect anything, it is just traffic ranking.

 

You can buy cheap traffic (bots) and there you go, your alexa is so much better. Once upon a time you could buy a few backlinks and boost your pagerank, but it's history now with all the penalties.

Bottom line is -- none really reveal the site' quality unless it's really hig PR (6+) and really low alexa (like below 10,000).

 

If you are planning to sell your sites then both are important, if not, I would say don't worry about them.

 

I will prefer Alexa, PR ranking is not accurate at all

 

both are taken into considiration when you buy or sell links. nothing more nothing less

 

Page rank is important if you sell links or blog posts and alexa rank (=traffie) is important if you sell ads cpc/cpm/cpa etc.

But, if you dont want to make money none of either matters,self satisfaction is the most important thing

 

Traffic is one of the best thing which is more important to all..
I would say that PR is much important unlike the Alexa.. I am not really sure what's really good about Alexa.. but
your PR will be a very good basis of having a good site with good backlinks, traffic etc.
