PR is important or Alexa Ranking?

alexa means nothing and it is not only toolbar based. it has a little bit more complicated algorithm.

Both are important in their ways. PR is important if you are looking for quick money from link sales and getting google importance. And Alexa if genuine then money can come from advertising sources. Because at the end what matters to us is the revenue.

It is impossible to compare bread to milk! These are absolutely different things.
Before choosing it is necessary to be defined, for what the site is necessary. If for fast money it is necessary to look on alexa, if for the further development of a site and for support other sites, than PR more important indicator.
If there are two sites at which alexa – 100.000, PR - 1 and alexa – 500000, PR – 8, it is better to choose with PR 8.
If it is necessary to choose between two sites which alexa - 100, PR - 4 and alexa – 100000, PR – 8, it is better to choose with alexa 100. IMO

 

They are two different things.It's hard to compare them.

 

Awstats or Google Analytics are important to me (traffic). Alexa is a fictitious number and pagerank does not equate to traffic. For without traffic ones site is essentially worthless...

 

Well page rank is more important than Alexa rank, as PR is given by Google the search engine giant on the basis of page content, backlinks and other phenomenon while alexa ranking mostly concern with the site traffic.

yes, what you said is very right, the PR is not related to alexa ranking, and also not related to keywords ranking in search engine.
So the factor which impact the website ranking is very lot, we should analyze them fully.

 

It is hard to say. if you wanna get backlinks from them , i think the high PR is better, but if you wanna earn more, i think Aleax ranking is more important.

 

Um, If someone "faked" there Alexa rank with "(surfing, autohit,use alexa toolbar and auto surf, etc)" Then wouldn't their Google analytics be faked as well?

I often hear people saying that its easy to cheat Alexa, but have never seen any proof that it can be done successfully, without leaving an obvious trail of evidence and/or penalties behind.

Installing the Alexa toolbar and visiting you site every day is not going to give you a top 100k ranking. (unless maybe your already at 100,001).

I just did some work myself and i found it out that PR does not get you Traffic. I m getting some good traffic with my keywords without having any PR whatsoever. So I don't think PR has some meaning when it comes to Traffic or Ranking in Google in terms of keywords!))
