PR is important or Alexa Ranking?

Which one do you see is the most important factor once you decide to check the credibility of a website?
I have seen websites with high PR but very low alexa ranking and sometimes Ranking is higher but pagerank is very low..?
What's your thought ?

 

PR is useless and Alexa toolbar is mainly used in Asia.
None of those should be a tool to see the credibility of a site IMO....

 

But which is more important? And how to find a credibility of a website then?

 

PR and Alexa are not good things to use to to gauge the credibility of a website unless the PR is high (7+) or the Alexa is low (< 500,000).

Revenue is the most important factor and revenue comes with traffic unless there is a link sale depending on PR.
Sometimes you can trust Alexa and/or PR for the volume of traffic. But most of the times both are not good indicatives.
For example, PR2 site may get more traffic from Google search than a PR5. Alexa 500K may receive more traffic than Alexa 50K. Alexa and PR is more consistent for bigger values like PR6 and above or Alexa 10K and below.

Alexa and PR are not stable. So, better to look at link popularity, content, domain and traffic & revenue stats.
Also you should not trust some sites too much which calculate website or domain value. Focus on just revenue.

 

All that matters with Alexa is the Alexa toolbar. Therefore, Alexa sucks. A tool that judges the traffic by how many people use a useless toolbar is really... really.

 

To answer your question, there are a lot of PR fanatics/eccentrics out there that would give their left arm to buy a high PR site from you.....so I would go with PR.

On a side note, I don't find that either are that worthy of determining the quality and importance of a website. As mentioned above, I believe that monthly revenue is a huge factor....especially if you're trying to sell the site. Also, the amount of traffic to your site is of huge importance as well.

I prefer alexa since they count on unique visitors, even if you view a site hundreds of time with the same IP address, it'll only count as one.
PR is ok but some are not natural.

 

I beleive either of them are very important. They are just ways to measure your website popularity. PR depends on backlinks and Alexa depends on their toolbar. So either of them are accurate. This is just my opinion.

Alexa Ranking Sure. Measure because the number of people can visit us very well.

 

Alexa only counts visitors that have the Alexa toolbar installed. Therefore, it is not accurately telling you how many visitors are coming to your site.

pagerank is backlink and alexa rank is about traffic . but i think the think is about pagerank . the higher pagerank can bring you top on google search

 

They may not very important to me.

But I suggest you do not get rank 0 from both of them.

Because they still contain some importance.

 

BOTH are almost useless, focus more on the site traffic and if it's showing high in the SERP's for highly competitive keywords

 

PR is more important I guess ..
See how people spend their buying domain with PR ..
Or links at PR domain ..

 

neither, anyone here that is willing to work a little bit can get a bad or good website to a good ranking in alexa or in PR so it doesnt matter really.
