Hello everybody, I'v been working at this for quiet a long time and tried to make my best to launch by new year, but it came a little late, sorry everybody.. but this is my present to the world for 2006/2007 This thread is going to be a little long and will discuss lots of things related to www.tagoon.com - the new technorati-style engine. Introduction Tagoon is meant to be something like technorati, with quiet a little more features and ease in use. It is a complex mixture of PHP classes and functions that access different services such as digg.com, technorati.com, youtube.com, new agencies (abc, cnbc, reuters, etc..) and like 200 other sites that offer API and/or XML live feeds. The application strives to give the end-user an ability to watch in realtime what is going on in the blogsphere using the frontpage diggMonitor (early published at http://www.abuzant.com/diggmonitor/PRO/) in addition to providing information about blogs themselves, bloggers, linkage in-between blogs and different other resources. DPF is the first to know As i am an active member of the community here, i decided to make the fellas here to be the first to know about this release and offer suggestions and feedback before it is offered as a product on the real-world market. If you are a blogger (interested in SEO bla..bla.. stuff) and have like a couple of minutes to waste .. i think it would be wise to give www.tagoon.com a try. I am looking for your feedback. I understand that everyone can be asking to look at his website but believe me, this is something different. It will have links to your blogs, your domains and defiantly all your blog posts that you write, where ever you write them. Within the next 24 hours, i will add those pages that are in the footer (DCMA, policies, etc..), i just wanted to make sure it is released as soon as possible. Again, please do not be fast in making judgments. The website was created and tweaked to be great-looking and fast-working in Firefox. It of course works in all major other browsers but might have little rendering issues. What's Next? I am not sure. If i can find a little interested team from the DPF members here, i am sure we can take tagoon.com to be a new service that is offered fior free, for all. I bet you understand the potential that is hidden in such websites. If not, if no one is interested to help making better and nicer versions. I will just sell this product of mine to anyone who is interested in owning the next technorati. Again, if no such interested buyer appears, i will start selling retail versions of the script for like $119 a copy or something.. please let me know what you think about this too. Hidden, embedded features There are tons of features hidden there at tagoon.com pages. For example, a snapshot of well known bloggers is returned if you try looking for an non-existent username. Adsense on blog information's page, tags pages and user profiles is rendered based on the most used keyword in that user's/blog's/post's content. Live blog content search. Try clicking search blog somewhere to see it in action. TODO: Within the next 2-4 hours. I will release the tagoon ranking full documentation and embedded buttons that bloggers can add to their websites. This is mainly the thing user's would want to have from tagoon itself. It is a feature (algorithm) that ranks bloggers based on a lot of factors available in their blog domains, blog post contents and rankings at different other resources. I am ready to answer everything.. I would like to thank in advance everybody who would be kind to review the website and/or provide some feedback. I am also open for all your suggestions, questions and comments regarding this new service. Thanks again, Ruslan hey.. give me a greenie
I don't get any content, just ads. edit: hmmm.. it has a small loading text on the left so maybe it's just very, very, very slow
- Make sure you have a JS enabled browser - wait 1.07 seconds for content to render (avg. of testing on 10K sim. queries) UPDATE: - first bug (on frontpage) reported: being fixed. - see working pages like: http://www.tagoon.com/tags/Bush http://www.tagoon.com/profiles/paranabis from there, you can go blog information, blogger profiles, etc.. UPDATE (II) First bug on frontpage fixed Good luck, Ruslan
Hello, You should have bben taken to http://www.tagoon.com/tags/Internet+marketing Tagoon searches for tags (categories where a post have been blogged on some blog space) and not keywords in titles. For me i see: Which is very revalent. Thanks anyway for you visit.
Haven't found it any useful ( till now ) . May be to start with the content and features are less ..we will look again once you declare that it is a full fledged site to watch.
