I have some good traffic for one of my site and backlinks, have PR2.

I thought of starting a blog to earn through PPP and i dont want to loose my PR at the same time. So i need some suggestions from you.

    1. Can i host my blog in the sub directory ?
    Example: hxxp://example.com/blog

And take it for PPP process?

    2. How many days it will take to get good PR if i buy a good domain name and start from the beginning ?

Thanks for your suggestions in advance.

You risk having your sites PR manually adjusted to zero for paid posts/links - that would include a sub directory.

A "good domain name" has nothing to do with PR. PR comes 100% from backlinks to your site. PR is constantly updated but only exported to the toolbar (where you can see it) three or four times a year. How "many days" depends on when google finds the backlinks and the cut off date for toolbar PR calculations - but you should expect to wait 3 months for a toolbar PR update. It may be sooner or longer- no one but google knows exactly.

If you have some "real" posts written by you, and there are only few paid post, the search engine may not be able to spot it.

As long as you are clever & make the posts look real, you should not have a problem. Discuss4u made a good point about mixing the content up a little with some unique posts.

One point about hosting your blog in a subdirectory: Any SEO worth their weight in links won't want to pay much for a post until the subdirectory itself gets some green. It's not good enough that your main url is PR2.

It wont hurt at all. If you maintain your blog with unique content it will only help in the long run.

The blog will most likely start to accumulate PR on its own and help your main page.

If done correctly PPP won't hurt PR (but you should know that you are violating google and probably FTC guidelines). As much as keeping blog might help PR for your domain, in your case I would recommend that you go with a subdomain.

It would take about 3 months to get a pr to your site. Better do your daily SEO to have a pr.
