PR - How to improve it?

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this site but I thought I would get anyone opinions on improving PR ranking. Currently, my website is about 4 weeks old and I am trying my best to increase its rank to promote my site. I am contact as many directories I can get more SEO coverage. Is this the right approach? Also, does it help to link exchange because I have a really nice link directory on my page. I thought this would help improve my rank but it seems like im mostly 1 way linking with others. If anyone can help me out I would truly appreciate it. Also, I have been writing articles and I have a blog on my site. Do these help?

Build "backlinks" with informative "content" that serves a "purpose" and you may get rewarded with higher rank if it ever "comes back"

 

Thats always the toughie because I post a site onto mine in hopes that people would reciprocate (even though I email them) I guess it kind of sucks when you are starting off because not a lot of people see the benefit even if you site has great content

 

One of the purposes of a "web directory" is to review and offer a direct "one way" backlink to a site of "quality" and in effect give you a (vote) in the eyes of many SEs. You can build backlinks at Solicitations & Announcements and Vilesilencer Forum most are Free and some paid also.

You need higher PR backlinks from other websites to increase your site PR. There are good link building strategies which I am sure:
1. article submission
2. link exchange
3. buying link
4. directories submission

 

and remember, to gain links on sites close to your's site content, otherwise it can hurt your pr.

 

links links links! that's the best way to improve your PR. one way links (site's linking to you, but you not linking back) are the best. Also, make sure the links pointing to your site are relevant to your site (if you own a webhost have links coming from other webhost/web design/web related sites, not from a myspace resource site)..Also, if the links pointing to your site are coming from a page with a PR itself, that will help..

quality of links has nothing to do with PR....links will increase your PR, even if they are not from high quality or related sites...If you want higher rankings, then get high quality links from sites related to yours

Just build quality links. But I suggest don't focus much on PR, better if you would concentrate on getting higher ranking.

 

PR is about building quality links (or should i say links that are indexed by Google), meaning build links that has a PR and wait for the updates.

 

Get more quality backlinks pointing to your website from high pagerank sites and make sure the pass the pagerank value so they are not using nofollow then you will be fine.
