I have been a seo for year, i have come to a question in my mind? How to get pr? Some one say that huge backlinks or high quality links from high pr sites, but i have seen some sites with high pr and with few links? Some one say it is up to the content and traffic to you sites, and it if from the value of your sites? What do you think about that? Waiting for you replies.
Pagerank is based ONLY on backlinks... plain and simple. Traffic and content play no direct role in the formula of Pagerank calculations. The quality of the backlinks is the main factor, not the quantity. Obviously higher quality backlinks will achieve more than lower quality backlinks.
For me, traffic and content is what matters most.. Yes you will see popular sites which low PR mainly because they gain continuously increasing traffic because of valuable content they offer their readers. They may not have thousands of backlinks but their popularity make them listed by search engines.
I agree with you very much, IMO, i think good content and traffic will be the most imporant thing, this will lead to high pr, not just have high pr backlins will get high pr, i think the site itself is more important!

You need make your sites good reputation, and then go to some sites have same niche with yours, and send email to the webmaster with sincere words, maybe you will get a link!
Page rank only increase if you have back link . No Page rank not base on traffic. Yes I'm agree with those said it's depend on content unique content itself create back link and if you have unique content so definetly you will get traffic
yah..i think.. pr, ranking and content.. all are important..without this.. u can not get a good link...m a rit..?
Make your content genuine and do onsite seo, with in some days your site cached and indexed, this is quite enough for to see PR 1 or 2, but if you are looking for Higher PR, you need to focus on all SEO startling, that what you can do. All SEO tools are important according to their importance.
