Okay I really don't see why this happened. Can anyone explain it? 2 weeks ago it was PR3. I go on holiday and when I come back I realise it's at PR0. My site is pretty well indexed in google and has a good number of backlinks. Not that it really matters, i'm still getting the same amount of traffic and everything. I'm just confused on the matter. Thanks, TS
There is definitely a reason for this but I'm not sure exactly what it is, maybe you were penalized for breaking the rules.
1. check for other datacenters. iwebtools has a PR checker tool that can test many of google's data centers 2. doesn't matter if you PR fell to 0. Continue your backlink building and you will be back to PR3 or more soon.
is it a directory or a link indexing site? some pr5 sites lost their pr or Google remove them manually.
i havent seen any PR update to any of my sites or directories yet ... i think ur site wud b penalised or u need to check ur site PR on diff computer
It's the first site in my sig. Backlinks are about the same as they were beforehand, maybe a bit less, but nothing major. Host didn't go down either. So why would it have been penalised?
I had a look at your site...and see that you've been buying a lot of links, or at least making a lot of sitewide exchanges - seems over the last month or so Google's really been cracking down on sitewides especially. Perhaps this was the cause? I'm still seeing a lot of PR3's and 4's for your site, yet most of these are from sites which are also giving your site a sitewide link. When did you first notice it was PR0 and how many days has it been since it went PR0 (that you noticed, since you returned from holiday)? May well just be a fluctuation in datacentres, but I doubt it.
DigPagerank.com seems to have been broken for weeks. All other PR checkers I use give a PR0 result for your domain, yet all my domains all show the correct PR as also shown in the toolbar. I don't think datacentres being down is the issue now.
