maybe a small PR adjustment, I have a parking domain www.cbsa.com got PR4 a few days ago and now it became PR3.
Rappin, Yes there was a major update a couple of days ago but now that it's settling down there are still a few sites that may be affected still. Your site was just at the bottom of their list to update. Sorry to hear that you dropped so much. There will be others like you with the same issue for probably another week. I am no Google expert but I'm telling you what I have heard and read so far about Google Pr updates.
Yeah i had one get deindexed 4 days ago, then today it went from PR6 to PR N/A. It dropped from 6,000 visits a day, to about 500. Totally white hat, and a ton of natural backlinks from authority .edu domains. It had absolutely no backlink building done to it. This is why i now don't believe in spending years building a great quality site, but instead would rather build 50 rubbish ones per week that just clog up Google's index. If one of these gets wiped out, who cares it's not years of effort down the drain.
A lot of websites have lost PR on the recent Google PR update. This is what happen with mine: I) A 4 years old website with unique content had PR5 and 750 backlinks from Google and Yahoo it drop to PR4. II) A year old business website with PR3 with around 44 backlinks mainly from Yahoo it remain with PR3. III) A month old one page website which is just a temporary holding page until the main website is ready, it was PR3 with only 2 backlinks from Yahoo and it has now dropped to PR2. You will probably wonder how it is possible that a month old website with just a holding page was able to get a PR3? I had given it one backlink from my first site which had (PR5) and one backlink from the second website which had GP3. To be honest with you it is a learning curve for me too, on how things work with Google PR. Unfortunately, it seems that my first website which had PR5 has somehow been penalized for giving a link to a brand new website, so that probably explains why it went from 5 to 4. I’m now working to get it back to PR5. I hope that helps. Regards Nectarios
Well good to know update is still going on My website has no scope if there is no -1 to start On April 2 PR update started, My website came from PR=1 to PR=0 And since you people say it went more down even today , For my website i dont see any scope to not to worry until google start pr = -1, -2 , - hehehehe
But, one site got from 0 to 4, and stay in this position couple day, and yesterday drop to 2...this is really sad...also one my funny blog, 1 year old drop from PR4 to 0...Really sad...but what to do people, be prepared for next PR update...
My blog went from page rank 3 to 1. It's not like i havent been working on it, ive added new content and backlinks about 3 times a week. All that extra time for nothing. Thanks google
lol just checked my weight loss site which i have not updated for months..From PR 0 to PR 2. Sort it out google ffs.
This can be just a temporary thing but the same happening after a major update has some cause for concern. Several good ranking sites giving you linking juice might have been degraded, pushing your rank along with them! Regards, RightMan
That is not fair though, after all the time and effort and they just take it away like that. Makes me wonder why i bother updating.
