PR Drop for Article Directories!?? I wonder why?

    The Page Ranks have dropped for some of the article directories. Here are some of them:

    goarticles.com - used to be PR 6 but now it is PR3.

    a1articles.com - used to be PR 5 but now it is PR4

    bigarticles.com - used to be PR 5 but now it is PR0

    articlenexus.com - used to be PR 5 but now it is PR3

    Why does it happen? Any ideas? I am wondering if it is worth submitting articles to these directories.
