PR Down - AS earnings up

About six weeks ago the Page Rank on one of my sites went down from four to three. I was a little bit disappointed with this but at the same time I noticed a dramatic increase in my AS earnings. The revenue from this site suddenly increased from an average of $40 a day to $60 a day with a couple of peaks of $80+.

It makes me wonder how important Page Rank is.

PR is not related with Ads.

PR doesn't effect traffic ... traffic can effect your earnings. Did you notice an increase in visitors?

PR is less and less important every day ! But it is widely used since it is the only measure we have (and every webmaster knows it)

    lol :D

Dude it has no relation with PR.

Its might be because adwrods advertiser paying high cpc to show their ads and reason could be more advertisers are willing to show their ads in your niche.

There is no connection between the two (as others also said). But the question is, did your traffic or clicks increase, or you were just lucky to have the high paying ads on your site?

    My question is :
    What is your niche?

$40/day is quite a good amount for one site :D

My niche is cat and dog information

My traffic did increase a little but I believe increased revenue was due to higher paying ads on the site. For example, in the past if I had 500 clicks I would earn about $50. Now on average 500 clicks nets about $60 to $80
    per day.
