Hello, What are some of the reasons for a well established website to go from a PR4 to a PR0 with no negative flux in back links? SERPS remain the same as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, -Tim
Yeah, one of mine was a few weeks back also. its so strange as there are many backlinks, follow good practices and such.
Submit your site to: - article directories - directories - social bookmarking sites without "nofollow" - more to generate backlinks and get back the PR.
3 of my clients have been slapped with the latest PR changes: one site has gone from a PR3 to a PR0 in a week. It's not been touched for a couple of years so it's nothing he's done. It's an old domain too so maybe Google discounts this factor now. 2 others from a PR2 to PR0 also not been touched so Google has definitely changed something in the Google Force. The PR is strong in this one OBE 1.
To many external links? I have no idea since I have 2 external links on the homepage and all my PR is there..
it has happened to many , many blogs or websites went to pr 0 from pr 3 and many received pr 3 directly from pr 0 ..
I also loosed PR for my one important site which was formally PR4. Bt i got PR5 for 1 site, PR4 for 2 site, PR3 for 7 site, PR2 for 12 site, PR1 for 20 site. as far i tested. So its kinda wicket for me. Seems my SEO knowledge working.
Guys, backlinks are not already the most important factor for high ranking, didn't you get it yet?! I am sick of reading some posts when people advise to buy links and submit to directories. The good natural traffic from social and media sites is now #1 on Google's list.
there cvould be a few possibilities. Google refine algorithm to reflect changing realities in underlying value of the links.. if not... it could be something u did on your end on your website like introduce payperblog service etc...
