    Hi
What are conversion ratios for different PR? For eg. How many PR5 equals 1 PR6 ? How many PR3 equals 1 PR5?

Checkpagerank.net has conversion table at http://www.checkpagerank.net/linkpack
According to this table, power/value of a PR is about 4 to 5 times the PR one rank below.
    For example,
    19 PR4 links OR 4PR5 can get PR4 rank so 1PR5=4.75 PR4
    101 PR4 links OR 19PR5 can get PR5 rank so 1PR5=5.31 PR4
    555 PR3 links OR 101PR4 can get PR5 rank so 1PR4=5.5 PR3

Though such conversion are at best estimates, does anyone have any comments about reliability of this conversion table? Or have a better source for such ratios?

    Cheers!:)

PR doesn't make any difference so I really wouldn't worry about it.

The PR you see in the toolbar is a 3 month old snapshot based on whatever google wants to show you.

You can't. The only way to improve PR is to get more links.

Well, Was looking at substitution of backlinks.
So for example, if you are aiming for PR4 for yr site, instead of 4 PR5 links to yr site, you can substitute by getting 19 PR4 links to yr site instead.

This is discussion of "what" is the ratio of PRs , NOT "how" to get PR or whether PR is important or not (some think it is, some think it is not). Obviously, you need to build backlinks to get PR.
We want to have an idea/estimate (though that may not be exact and a lot of "it depends" scenario blah blah...) of how many backlinks of a certain PR to get to achieve a certain PR
    Cheers!:)

if taking the pagerank table as guideline here.
    you will need 16 pr5 to get a pr6.
